Welcome to my fundraising page for the Challenge Aspen Reykjavik, Iceland Marathon!  This will be my 2nd Marathon with Challenge Aspen and my 7th Marathon overall.  A longtime local of Carbondale, I first joined forces with Challenge Aspen in 2015 and I am so excited to do it again!  

Challenge Aspen is a non-profit that provides recreational opportunities to those with cognitive and physical challenges.  They currently serve more than 400 participants each year, with over 2,100 participant days, all with only a committed full-time staff of eight, and a volunteer board of directors. Challenge Aspen is helping to break through barriers, helping individuals gain the self-esteem and confidence needed to lead fulfilling, productive lives by providing access to recreational sports like downhill and cross-country skiing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, swimming, gymnastics, hiking, and fishing.  

Challenge Aspen relies on committed volunteers and generous donors to help achieve their goals.  Please take a moment to donate if you are able, or to pass along the message to someone you think might be interested.

The Challenge Aspen Marathon Team runs a marathon each year to help fund scholarships, adaptive equipment and programming for Challenge Aspen. This year we're headed to exotic Reykjavik, Iceland!

All racers have committed to fundraise $3,950 each for Challenge Aspen programs (donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law).  Thank you for supporting Challenge Aspen and making possibilities for people with disabilities!
