Thank you for your donation to Challenge Aspen. As a Veteran I run in Honor of the CAMO program. All CAMO program participants attend on full scholarships. The programs allow them and their familes to learn to get out and trust in themselves and their bodies again. They are also provided a lot of mental counciling throughout the week. My goal is to sponsor at least one family for one week. Let's do this!!!
Because every good deed deserves something for every $20 a person donates their names goes into a drawing. At the end of the race I pull a name and offer the winner a gift of their choice: I am a certified Personal trainer and will do a consultation and free workout program; a program for a running, biking, swimming or tri race; I am a certified swim instructor and will teach 8 swimming lessons; fitness not your thing I will also make a packet of homemade cards for you to send to your friends throughout the year - all but the swimming can be done over long distance.
PS two years ago the race was on Halloween so of course I had to dress up for the race; hence the hat and tutu. My photo is the my "end of race" photo two years ago holding the name of my donation winner.

the 2017 Reykjavik Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K Events – August 19, 2017!
The Challenge Aspen Marathon Team runs a marathon each year to help fund scholarships, adaptive equipment and programming for Challenge Aspen. This year we're headed to exotic Reykjavik, Iceland!
All racers have committed to fundraise $3,950 each for Challenge Aspen programs (donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law). Thank you for supporting Challenge Aspen and making possibilities for people with disabilities!
