Challenge Aspen provides year-round adaptive experiences for individuals faced with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. The incredible staff, volunteers and instructors help to create life-changing opportunities for our participants by encouraging participation in activities designed to redefine limits, recognize abilities, and transfer newfound courage to everyday life.

"...new found courage to everday life." As many of you know, this is a part of the struggle that I can relate to and is what sparked my intrest in this cause as well as the journy of training for a marathon. After being in a tragic accident that took the lives of two people, one of which was very dear to me, I have been dealing with grief, PTSD, guilt, loss and loneliness. That being said, I have also experienced the most amazing out pouring of love and support, I have gained friendships and even family. Theresa, the sister of my friend who passed, mentioned Challenge Aspen to me almost  10 months ago and it became something for me to focus on and look forward to!  I'm so happy to have the opportunity to help this organization and get healthier physically and emotionally in the process! 

My goal is to raise a minimum of $3,750.00. The Dalmatia Ultra Trail Race will be held October 19, in Omis Croatia. Any contribution to this effort would be extremly appreciated!
