Hi Friends & Family,
Jason & I have made the commitment and joined the 2022 Challenge Aspen trail running and fundraising team. The "Sole Mates" are headed to Verbania, Italy to participate in the Ultra Trail Lago Maggiore race series October 1, 2022!
Challenge Aspen provides year-round adaptive experiences for individuals faced with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. Our incredible staff, volunteers and instructors help to create life-changing opportunities for our participants by encouraging participation in activities designed to redefine limits, recognize abilities, and transfer newfound courage.
For the last 10 years, working as a nurse in Aspen, I've seen life changing tragedies, be it a ski accident or a mountain bike accident that have resulted in new disabilities, no one is prepared for. However, Challenge Aspen brings out new passions, new confidence, and that will to live a full life, despite the new challenges a person has. In addition, veterans and people with special needs benefit. Seeing this wonderful organization helping people, is truly heart warming. Im running the 18k and Jason is running the 52k. We plan to raise $8000 for this amazing organization and need your help. Please consider a donation to Challenge Aspen's programs. This will provide scholarships, adaptive equipment, training, mentorship and advocacy for these heroes. ANY donation is a significant one, and helps support the mission.
